Rasikbahi Bhojak composed this song for me in 1963 – when Ismail Darbar was his chief music supporter. I had just moved from Bombay to ATIRA, Ahmedabad as an
A Grade artist. When this was being recorded, there were other great artists like
Pratima Bannerjee, Pragna Chhaya, Rasbihari Desai, Madhusudan Shashtri w+ere also in different studios and were extremely delighted to hear the song. Himanshu ofcou+rse has given a slight different touch specially in high octaves. Best luck, Himanshu. (I AM NOW 75). MAYUR MARU

Very very beautiful geet & madhur swar

This song was recorded when I was active with AIR-A’bad, as Chitra Dholakia. I recall the mood that the song created, and was so meant, that of pain and empathy. The background notes and the music that Ahmed Darbar put in the composition created a very solemn and sad atmosphere. It stirred me a lot at the time. I don’t know why that depth of those emotions is not felt in this version. Simplicity of composition and intensity of the notes are somehow are missing here. But I like the singer’s voice. To me, beauty of music is 95% in the emotions it conveys, and only 5% in the technique of rendering. Rasikbhai’s compositions were overflowing with plenty of emotions. I miss that.
