સમય સંજોગના ગેબી ઈશારે પપી ગયો છું હું.
કોઈ વેળા જરા ઓછી મળે એની શીકાયત શું?
કોઈ વેળા ગજાથી પણ વધારે પી ગયો છું હું.”
હશે મારી દશા કેવી તને સમજાય છે સાકી?
હવે પીધાં પછી પણ મારું દિલ ગભરાય છે સાકી.
સુરા પીતાં જે મારાથી કંઈક ઢોળાય છે સાકી,
મને એમાં હજારોની તરસ દેખાયે છે સાકી.
અસર આવી નથી જોઈ મેં વરસોની ઇબાદતમાં,
ફકત બે જામમાં તરત જ જીવન બદલાય છે સાકી.
સુરાની વાત કેવી? ઝેર પણ પી લે અગર કોઈ,
તો દુનિયામાં એ ચર્ચાનો વિષય થઈ જાય છે સાકી.
‘મરીઝ’ આવા નશામાં પણ ઉઘાડી આંખ રાખે છે,
ખબર કોને કે એની આંખ ક્યાં મીંચાય છે સાકી.
